I decided to go autocrossing at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans, LA today.
I trailered my RS again to this event. This keeps the miles off the RS and eliminates the need to swap from street wheels/tires to my autox setup. I arrived at NOLA Motorsports Park around 8:20am. I then registered and passed tech. Delta SCCA had a Starting Line School on Saturday, so today was the full course for those students as well as regular autox attendees. That is why the map looks different than other ones. Delta SCCA split up the runs into (4) heats. My run group ran first. I worked the 2nd heat. We had a 30 minute lunch. I ran my last 3 runs, then worked to finish the day. I ran in the Xtreme Street (XS-A) class.
Weather started with 74F in the morning, peaked with a high of 83F. The start was tricky for us AWD folk. Launch, let off the accelerator, hard left turn, then continue. Not all courses can be in our favor. However, in the end I was both FTD and TPAX! This is the first time I have EVER accomplished Top PAX, much less that along with FTD at the same time! Woooo who!
Note: It turns out that I didn't datalog my fastest run. What you see is video of my fastest run with datalog telemetry of my 3rd run (within 0.131 seconds). Barely noticeable. LOL.
Click on the pictures below to see the raw results, PAX results, and run results. Out of 41 drivers I had FTD (Fastest Time of the Day) by 0.014 seconds and Top PAX by 0.796 seconds. :)
Notes for my 42.463 run:
All racers got 6 runs. I got 7 runs due to a timer malfunction on my first run. I took a passenger on my re-run (1st timed run). My 2nd timed run was my quickest. I took a passenger on my final run.
